Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Type: Part time, at least 10 hours per week 

Location: Atlanta, Georgia/remote

Safe Road Solutions Inc. is building innovative, AI-powered, mobile phone-based solutions to deliver timely and cost-effective curve safety assessments; enabling local and state transportation agencies to better plan and manage curve safety with enhanced data. 

Who are we looking for? As Software Engineer, you will work with our team to transform the existing capability into mature applications. You will be responsible for the design, development, and test of various frontend and backend components that involve Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics.  You will gain valuable skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, coding, and the chance to work on impactful projects.  The candidate is a self-motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive individual who can collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and maintain web-based applications for a data processing system involving automatically extracting curve features 

• Develop and improve web-based applications for internal QA/QC procedure and client reporting

• Deploy and maintain the applications• Improve and maintain a data collection app

• Test and document the applications

Qualifications:

• Python

• Type Script and JSX

• Docker

• AWS experiences

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Desirable: Familiar with GIS concepts and software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
